Day 2 In-Clinic Supervised Antigen Testing (Fit to Fly)
- In most cases we shall be able to honour your preferred date and time. In some instances we may have to find an alternative date and time, if this is the case you will be notified with 24 hours of time of order.
- This is an in-clinic test that is carried out by one of our trained clinicians.
- This service is not suitable for people with symptoms of COVID-19, or for anyone who thinks they may have COVID-19. If you or anyone in your bubble thinks you may have COVID please follow the latest government guidelines.
- Please see ensure that you are aware of the travel requirements of your airline or country of destination and we recommend you read the latest UK government’s travel advice.
- Book within the required time frame. The requirement for pre-flight testing does vary by country and can be subject to change. Ensure you know how many days or hours before landing you are required to have had the test. It is your responsibility to ensure you meet your destination’s criteria.
- This test is for non-symptomatic patients, looking to confirm a negative presence of the COVID-19 virus. Patients must be 5 years of age and over; minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If the child is 12 years or older, consent must be gained from the child themselves. For children under the age of 12, parental or legal guardian consent is permitted.
- All patients will require photo ID (passport, current UK, or EEA photocard driving licence, EEA member state identity card or a national identity card bearing a photograph). Please note that only originals can be accepted for verification purposes. If you fail to produce the required ID, you will be charged 30 for the consultation and your appointment will be rebooked.
- A rapid antigen test looks for the presence of specific proteins called antigens based on the surface of the virus from a nose or throat swab sample.
- A simple nasal swab is taken and applied to the lateral flow device.
- Your results will be ready within 15-20 minutes after your sample has been applied to the device.
- If the result is negative, an emailed certificate will be issued to confirm this. The Fit to Fly travel certificate provided to you will include your full name, date of birth, laboratory and test credentials, passport number, time and date of sample, and time and date of report.
- There is a statutory duty to report the outcomes of all Covid-19 tests to Public Health England (PHE) or the relevant authority. In the case of a positive or indeterminate result we are required to provide the information within 24hours of the result. We will only share the required data. - There is a small chance the test result could be inconclusive, in this case we will offer to re-test you again (at no extra charge).
- Please be sure to check that the email address you have provided and home address are correct before confirming your order. An incorrect email address will impact receipt of order confirmation and all communications. Your address information CANNOT be changed once the order is placed so please ensure this is correct (review Post Code).
- Health Plus Pharmacy will not be held liable for losses, costs or damages that you suffer or incur because of any delays in receiving test results, or because of inconclusive tests, or as a result of receiving a positive test result.
- Please note that the Day 2 In-Clinic Supervised Antigen Testing (Fit to Fly) is nonrefundable.
